Orthoses are external orthopedic devices designed to correct, stabilize and compensate for disorders of the musculoskeletal system, as well as provide protection and relief for joints.

A hingeless ankle / foot orthosis, or sleep orthosis, is needed to secure the ankle in an anatomically correct position.

Materials:

Top: thermoplastic or soft cast for express orthoses

Lining: hypoallergenic perforated pedilen or cotton stocking

Fixation on the leg: with Velcro

Color: plastic – white or pattern of the little patient’s choice; soft – white or blue
