Abdominal bandage or orthosis for the thoracic spine

An abdominal bandage is designed to support and fix the anterior abdominal wall. It prevents development of postoperative hernias, prevents prolapse and strangulation of inoperable hernias of the anterior abdominal wall. It is used for weak abdominal muscles in overweight and elderly people. It is recommended for divergence of the muscles of the anterior abdominal wall after abdominal surgery; provides stable fixation during prolapse of internal organs.

Indications for use:

• recovery period after surgical interventions on the abdominal wall
• postpartum period as abdominal fixation, after cesarean section
• hernia of the white line of the abdomen
• umbilical hernia
• postoperative ventral hernias

The bandage is made of elastic perforated dense bandage fabric, has a cotton insert, reinforced with two flexible plastic stiffeners.
