Volodymyr took part in a walking marathon on crutches and a prosthetic leg, raising funds for spare parts for his former battalion vehicles

Volodymyr Buksha, a combat veteran, had a difficult ordeal during the fighting in Huliai Polye when his car was blown up by a mine. As a result of this tragic event, his fellow soldiers were killed on the spot, while Volodymyr himself was seriously wounded and lost one of his legs. Although he managed to save the other leg thanks to a well-done surgical operation, the loss of one limb left a huge mark on his soul.

After overcoming difficult moments, Volodymyr decided not to stop, to overcome his inner struggles and move on with his life. His determination was a help not only to himself, but also to his family. In particular, two children and a wife who always stood by his side despite difficulties and obstacles.

Seeking to return to service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Volodymyr had to face rejection. And no wonder, his inner strength and devotion were greater than his physical limitations.

This situation did not crack him, but instead strengthened his resolve to live a fulfilling life and serve as an example to others.

To determine his new vocation, Volodymyr took part in a walking marathon on crutches and with a prosthesis, raising funds for spare parts for the vehicles of his former battalion. During the marathon, he has already collected 67 thousand hryvnias spent on purchasing necessary spare parts for the 37th battalion.

Having overcome the difficult path from the village of Oleksandrivka to Velyka Vyska, Volodymyr continues his marathon, reducing it not only to a charitable act, but also to a symbol of will and heroism. He has become an example to others, showing that even with loss, one can find the strength to keep moving forward and serve as an example to his community. His marathon was recognized and supported not only by the local community but also by the entire country, highlighting his status as a true hero.
