Pioneering technologies and innovative design have been combined to make the bebionic hand one of the most realistic and easy-to-use multi-joint prosthetic hands available today. Comfortable, intuitive and at the same time precise: the bebionic prosthesis allows you to develop any skills and abilities, improves your quality of life. More than simply helping with simple tasks such as tying your shoes, it gives you back control over your body and a sense of pride and confidence in your abilities.

Bionic prosthetic arm price justified by quality and capabilities

Losing an arm is a huge stress for a person, which completely turns their life upside down. After such a loss, it will take a long time to bounce back. And one of the most effective ways of physical and psycho-emotional recovery is timely and correct prosthetics. The result of innovation in the field of prosthetics is a bionic prosthetic arm. It is hygienic and easy to use, but most importantly it performs almost all functions of a real arm.

Specialists at Tellus Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care Center are developing technologies that make it possible to create functional and comfortable prostheses for adults and children. Sign up for a consultation, which will be the starting point on your path to recovery.

A bionic prosthesis is a high-tech device made of metal and polymer materials. However, for a person who has lost an arm, this is the only opportunity to return to a full-quality life. Arm prosthetics using a bionic prosthesis allows a person to perform the simplest, but very important, everyday actions: turning lights on and off, using cutlery, opening and closing doors, typing on a computer and using a mouse.

The bionic prosthesis works according to the following principle

The myo-sensors used in this model of prosthesis have the ability to read the electrical potential. It is generated by the preserved muscle tissue of the arm. In turn, the prosthesis is equipped with a “brain”, a microprocessor that receives the signal from the myo-sensors. It takes only a fraction of a second to generate a command and send it to the motor. This eventually moves the active parts of the prosthesis.

There are two types of prosthesis:

  1. Single-jointed. This model of prosthesis has a single motor that allows the fingers to close and open.
    Multi-grip. In this model, each finger of the hand has its own motor, so you can perform different gestures and can close and open the hand in different ways.
    Bionic prosthesis is recommended in cases of amputation or congenital malformations.
  2. The specialists of the Tellus Prosthetic and Orthopedic Center develop single and multi-joint bionic prostheses.

The undeniable advantage is that the price of a bionic hand prosthesis made by us is several times cheaper than products created by our foreign colleagues. Under certain conditions, the patient can receive the prosthesis free of charge. You can find out about it from the specialist of the center by calling us by phone.

How does the adaptation to the bionic prosthesis take place?

The prosthetic program includes measures that help the patient to adapt to the prosthesis as much as possible. First of all, the patient undergoes occupational therapy, which implies a constant complex of trainings on how to perform the simplest everyday activities. All this takes place under the careful supervision and control of a specialist of our center, who is always ready to help at any stage of the prosthesis.

Prosthetic hand will help you to return to your usual full life. It allows you to drive a car, perform sports exercises, play musical instruments and, most importantly, feel psychological and emotional comfort.

Bionic prosthetic arm – reliable and innovative devices

Modern technologies have already made such a leap that even with limb amputation, unique devices allow living a normal life. And a biomechanical prosthetic hand contributes to this.

A highly efficient biomechanical hand allows a person living a normal life, engaging in sports and leisure activities, performing work activities, working on a computer…

Tellus Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care Center offers professional manufacture of a bionic prosthetic hand or other devices for humans.

What the bionic arm is and how it is used?

A bioprosthetic arm (bionic, bioelectric, and myoelectric) is a device that has an external power source, requires recharging and performs a set of functions. It is more modern than a mechanical or passive prosthesis, as it is equipped with sensors for electromagnetic signals.

The device is controlled through special sensors that receive signals from healthy muscles. In the human body, all movements, bends, or other tasks come to the body from the brain through electrical impulses. And they can be captured to transmit signals to the prosthesis.

A bionic prosthesis with an external power source is a system of sensors that receive body impulses. It works the same way as with natural limbs. If a person wants to raise his or her hand, show a finger or bend an elbow, then the signal comes from the brain not to the muscles (which are absent because of amputation), but to sensors. And they transmit it to the mechanism of the cybernetic prosthetic arm, which makes it rise, move a finger, or bend an elbow.

A mechanical prosthetic arm, unlike a more modern version, performs its tasks using mechanical traction. There are no electronic parts or drives, and all processes occur autonomously. Learning to control it is much easier than the bionic one.

Types and features of bionic prosthetic hands

Now, bionic or electronic prosthetic hands are divided into two large types – single-grip and multi-grip, each of which has its own advantages and features.

A single-grip prosthetic hand is a prosthesis that is equipped with one type of grip. It is fitted with a motor that facilitates simultaneous grasping of an object or hand. This allows you to perform simple tasks and processes.

Advantages of a single-grip bionic arm:

  • suitable for simple tasks, for example, picking up a glass or holding onto an object;
  • equipped with a sensitive grip or force control program to take fragile products without the risk of breaking them;
  • can be equipped with additional functionality – contactless payment, built-in GPS, status screen, and some options even connect to a phone;
  • has a range of opening and minimum compression;
  • works without charging for up to several days.

The device is suitable for those who have undergone arm amputation from the forearm, have underdeveloped muscles, or are planning a transition to a more complex device.

A multi-grip prosthesis is a mechanism in which each finger receives a signal and can bend individually. There are several motor systems for the fingers, which allows you to perform a huge number of functions, gestures, and tasks. The number of such gestures can be configured by software, and their type varies depending on the user’s needs.

Among the main advantages of such a prosthesis are:

  1. Wide grip range.
  2. Up to 13 functions for controlling and grabbing objects.
  3. Additional components for constructing the device.
  4. Ability to change the appearance to suit your preferences, even after a couple of years of using the prosthesis.
  5. Ability to control he prosthesis by programs via phone.
  6. High level of load and compression force.
  7. Options for wrist rotation, bends.

Multi-grip equipment is multifunctional, but it also has a higher price than single-grip equipment.

Active prosthetic hands: when can you order?

A bionic hand has many functions and benefits. But to get the best device, you need to follow several recommendations:

  1. Undergo rehabilitation after installing Bebionic hand to learn how to operate it correctly and give commands.
  2. The sooner after amputation the prosthesis is installed, the higher the chance of correct and normal operation of the equipment, since after a long period of time the tissues begin to gradually atrophy, and the muscles will be no longer able to send the correct signals.
  3. If Bebionic upper limb prostheses are installed on a damaged stump, then you need to undergo special training from rehabilitation specialists.
  4. Regular medical check-ups are necessary to ensure proper operation of the prosthesis and the condition of the body.

All myoelectric prosthetic hands are manufactured individually, so preliminary consultations with Tellus specialists are necessary.

How to choose and how much it costs to buy a robotic arm prosthesis?

It is worth noting that such versatility and complexity of the mechanism makes cyber prosthetic hands more expensive than other types of limb devices. In addition, each person after amputation has its specific features. The level of professionalism in performing the amputation, the level of muscle development, amount of subcutaneous fat or condition of the skin – all these factors influence the choice of the bionic prosthetic hand. And the worse the parameters, the more functional device is needed.

Also, a multifunctional prosthetic hand is selected in compliance with other indicators:

  • individual patient requirements for hand performance;
  • unique settings for completing tasks;
  • arm length, required grip strength, height, and weight of the person.

Therefore, cyber devices can be much more expensive than mechanical prosthetic hands. But at the same time, they are much more reliable, capable of performing several functions, and are closer to the natural hand and its control.
