Presentation of 3D Prosthetics and Orthotics Technologies in Odesa

On February 22, 2017, the Tellus Center for Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care hosted a nationwide presentation on 3D prosthetics and orthotics technologies at its manufacturing facility. Digital technologies in our field are represented by CAD/CAM systems, which enable computer-aided design and manufacturing of custom prosthetic and orthopedic devices.

The process includes: 3D scanning of the patient, digital modeling of the required positive mold and automated milling of the final product.

It has been 15 years since CAD/CAM systems were first adapted for prosthetic and orthopedic manufacturing. Today, the global industry has moved away from using plaster negatives and positives, replacing them with high-precision CAD/CAM-generated models.

However, we continue to advance and expand our capabilities. Since 2017, we have introduced the supply of wheelchairs for children and adults, including custom-made models from the renowned Italian company “Vassilli”.
