Training on the Ottobock Harmony System

A technician from Ottobock visited the Tellus Center to train our prosthetic technicians on the Harmony system.

The Harmony system by Ottobock prevents volume fluctuations in the residual limb. Using a pump module, it creates a vacuum between the liner and the socket. The liner adheres completely to the socket, evenly distributing pressure away from the residual limb.

As a result, pressure on the tissue and residual limb is effectively reduced. This relieves the tissue while maintaining the fluid levels and volume of the residual limb, regardless of the phase of permissible load on the prosthesis.

Undeniable advantages of the Harmony system:
– Full control over the gait due to the full-contact connection between the residual limb, liner, and socket;
– Prevents volume fluctuations in the residual limb, ensuring the prosthesis is always securely fixed;
– The Harmony E2 electronic pump is small, lightweight, and very quiet, even during operation;
– Provides vertical shock absorption and allows natural rotational movements;
– Reliability with every step, whether changing direction, walking on uneven surfaces, or engaging in sports.

Our prosthetic technicians installed the Harmony system for a client at the Tellus Center and received expert certification on the Harmony system from Ottobock.

We remind you that our prosthetic technicians continuously train with European specialists, honing their skills in prosthetics. The Tellus team can effortlessly install the Harmony system and teach clients to use it under any load and in any conditions.
