The life of a person who has undergone arm prosthetics changes dramatically. Now, to perform routine activities that once seemed ordinary, more effort and special skills are required. However, there is no need to despair or give up on life! Thanks to modern advancements in prosthetics, it is possible to restore arm functions and return to a familiar way of life. If you find yourself in such a situation, we recommend purchasing a hand prosthesis, which will not only contribute to a comfortable life but also provide psychological peace of mind.

The Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care Center «Tellus» has been specializing in upper and lower limb prosthetics for over 20 years.

We offer our patients a wide range of prosthetic limbs, from simple cosmetic models to ultra-modern bionic hand prostheses.

Our goal is to provide diverse prosthetic solutions, offering a broad selection of products and services that have been tested in practice and approved by leading orthopedists in the country and worldwide. Thanks to our experience and technical capabilities, we tailor the best individual solutions for each patient and their specific needs.

How to Choose the Right Prosthesis?

Getting dressed, undressed, eating and preparing food, washing up, opening doors, shaking hands, writing, doing household chores, studying — these seemingly simple tasks that are usually performed without a second thought become some of the most challenging with a hand prosthesis. That’s why it’s essential to select a model that truly becomes a second hand.

Types of Hand Prostheses Available:

  1. Cosmetic Prostheses

This type of prosthesis serves a cosmetic function.

It looks aesthetically pleasing, is lightweight, simple to manufacture, and easy to use. One of its main advantages is its affordability, making it accessible to all patients. However, it has limited functionality and lacks an active grip, which should be considered when choosing.

  1. Mechanical Prostheses

This type is well-suited for partial hand amputations. It is favored for its stable construction, lightweight design, and affordability. Maintenance costs are also relatively low. However, it cannot provide a strong grip or extensive range of motion. Aesthetically, it is less appealing but compensates for this with its reasonable price.

  1. Myoelectric Prostheses

This type is the most functional and allows individuals to manage daily tasks independently. It has a high grip strength and a good aesthetic appearance. Importantly, it is comfortable to use and offers a greater range of motion. However, it is heavier and significantly more expensive. Nonetheless, these drawbacks are fully offset by the capabilities it provides.

We will create the right prosthesis to help you return to your normal way of life!

A prosthetic arm should become the primary tool to assist with everyday and more complex tasks. We strive to ensure our products meet all quality standards and are comfortable and easy to use. We design and manufacture prostheses that meet global standards of quality, convenience, and biocompatibility.

We invite you to a consultation where you can talk to a specialist who will explain the different types of prosthetics, guide you on production timelines, and provide cost estimates.
