Tellus is one of the few companies in Ukraine, which produces customized orthopedic insoles by 3D-technologies using CAD / CAM systems. CAD / CAM systems are a very well-known and promising direction in the world of modern technology and represent the full cycle of the product from modeling to manufacturing.
The process of manufacturing individual products using 3D technology with CAD / CAM systems consists of:
· scanning with 2D / 3D scanners;
· modeling of the individual product in a special program by an orthopedic doctor;
· transfer of the file to the CNC milling machine – sawing process;
· inspection of the product and final fitting.
Today, individual orthopedic insoles are the most effective way to treat and prevent disorders of the musculoskeletal system for both children and adults. They are manufactured taking into account the anatomical features of each person’s foot, thus maximizing the therapeutic effect.
The following patient characteristics are taken into account in the process of making customized orthopedic insoles:
· the structure of the foot;
· diseases and pathologies of the foot;
· degree and stages of disease progression;
· the weight of the patient;
· condition and characteristics of the spine and pelvis;
· the patient’s lifestyle.
For the manufacture of orthopedic insoles used specially designed for medical purposes German material, which has a number of important features: hypoallergenic, permeable air and moisture, prevents the growth of bacteria, is characterized by wear-resistant characteristics.
