On February 22, 2017, the Tellus Center for Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care hosted a nationwide presentation on 3D prosthetics and orthotics technologies at its manufacturing facility. Digital technologies in our field are represented by CAD/CAM systems, which enable computer-aided design and manufacturing of custom prosthetic and orthopedic devices.

On December 6-7, 2016, the Ukrainian company “Nertus”, in collaboration with Freedom Innovations, held a conference on Lower Limb Prosthetics Using the Latest Technologies by Freedom Innovations. Freedom Innovations is a U.S.-based company with over 30 years of experience in composite carbon materials and the development of prosthetic components that meet the highest technological and engineering standards. This expertise has established Freedom Innovations as a global leader in the field.

On December 7, 2016, the Tellus Center for Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care celebrated 18 years of dedicated service. Our journey began in 1998, when we started with the production of black orthopedic shoes. Over time, we expanded our offerings to include insoles, orthoses, and prosthetic devices.

For the first time in Ukraine, a bionic forearm prosthesis was successfully fitted. The recipient was 40-year-old serviceman Serhii Voropai, a father of two, who was injured during the ATO (Anti-Terrorist Operation). He lost his hand in eastern Ukraine when a grenade landed in the tent where he and nine fellow soldiers were having dinner. Serhii heroically lifted the grenade above his head, saving the lives of everyone in the tent. This bionic prosthesis was provided to the hero under a state-funded program for free prosthetics for ATO participants.

18 On August 18, 2015, the Tellus Center for Prosthetic and Orthopedic Care relocated to its new premises at: 3/1 Akademika Vorobiova St., First Floor. We are now next to the Odesa Regional Children’s Hospital in Slobodka, to the right of the entrance to its territory. Across Serhii Yadov Street, we are also neighboring the 11th City Clinical Hospital (formerly the regional hospital).
